Newsletter June 2026
Dear families.
Well, here we are in the last term of the academic year! Time has flown by, watching our little ones grow and learn. This term is 8 weeks and we have some lovely things planned before breaking up for summer.
Firstly, some reminders. -
Please apply sun cream before children attend, let us know if you have forgotten to do so.
Bring water bottles – again let us know so we can provide a spare.
It would be useful to teach your child to put their socks inside shoes when they take them off so they don’t get muddled around the sandpit.
Last day of term is Friday 24th July apart from for those who missed a session due to bank holiday on Monday 4th May will be offered Monday 27th as a replacement session.
Autumn term will start Monday 7th September. Reminders can be found on our website.
So, for the first few weeks we will be growing plants and learning all that entails. We are hoping to grow cress, make some grass heads as well as the plants that are already growing in the garden. The children especially enjoy our strawberries. This project will continue throughout the term as things grow.
We will then have a 2-week project on road safety. More to follow.
Finally, there will be lots of school role play and support, particularly for those who will be moving on, but also for everyone to participate and enjoy.
We will share more information as we move along, ideas for home etc but for now if you wish to contribute in any way to our plant growing theme, any support and ideas are gratefully received.
Finally, we are so sad to let you know that Amy is unable, for now, to return to nursery. She is taking the time that she needs to rest and be with her family. We miss her incredibly and cant thank her enough for being amazing.
